The "Iceman Photoscan" project represents a significant scientific contribution to the study and dissemination of knowledge on the oldest wet and natural mummy in the world. This book describes in detail the single steps, from the project design to the implementation, which led to the setting up of a dedicated website. This website allows an in-depth virtual contact with the mummy without compromising its sensitive preservation conditions – an opportunity for the wider public to discover and study a cultural heritage, unique to the world.

Questo libro descrive nel dettaglio i singoli passaggi che sono occorsi dalla pianifi cazione all’esecuzione del progetto, per arrivare alla pubblicazione di un sito internet. Tutto ciò per permettere un approfondito contatto virtuale con la mummia, senza comprometterne le delicate condizioni di preservazione a cui normalmente è sottoposta. Si ha ora quindi la possibilità su larga scala, di scoprire e studiare un Bene Culturale unico al mondo.
